Description

Back in the 1960’s era a device known as the Dallas Rangemaster treble booster was created.Little has been known about this unit until recent times and it may have been the secret weapon behind many of histories greatest guitar tones.

The Rangemaster was the key item Eric Clapton used in the Blues Breaker album.
Rory Gallagher,Brian May and Tony Iommi have also used this unit as a key part of their tone.
The McPherson Red Boost is an updated design of this fabled effect at the fraction of the cost of buying an original ( over $5000 USD recently on ebay)
It uses the original NOS Military spec OC44 (CV7003) Germanium transistor which adds a subtle distortion to the signal at higher gain settings and also acts as a valve exciter giving you a great tone for solos

*** We only have a small stock of these transistors left so be in quick ***
